CLASS DESCRIPTION
Throughout the 4 weeks
you will learn how to create a MASTER File which will be flexible & efficient, preserving
the original integrity of the image. There are handouts for each
lesson.
In
Class #1
you will learn about Color Management, Workspaces, Navigation,
Keyboard Shortcuts, Color Correction, Levels and the difference
between 8 bit & 16 bit imaging.
Class #2 will
cover some of the more powerful tools in Photoshop, Curves
and other Adjustment Layers, you will learn to Enhance
Color as well as Spotting on a Layer.
Class #3 will be
all about LAYERS, MASKING & SELECTIONS.
How to create isolated
corrections & enhancements as you work Non-Destructively and
Flexibly on your images.
.We will also discuss a RAW Workflow.
In Class #4
we'll end the workflow with Sharpening techniques &
Prepping Files for Output - Inkjet Printing,
Lab, Press or Web. You'll learn layer techniques
for Dodging & Burning, Photo Filters, embedding your
Copyright into the file metadata and we'll cover Automated Features in Photoshop.
You'll have a new-found confidence while working in the program.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS CLASS?

Anyone with basic Photoshop skills from an intermediate beginner to
advanced intermediate users. Even seasoned professionals who never
had proper training will be amazed at what they will learn. If you
have regularly paused in uncertainty while working in Photoshop,
this class is for you!
Having fundamental Photography knowledge is an advantage in
understanding the principles of an efficient Photoshop workflow,
although it is not a requirement.
The key will be a willingness to learn an efficient,
non-destructive, flexible workflow!
